Martin Rosatzin named to R&M Management Board as new CTO

The Swiss cable specialist Reichle & De-Massari AG (R&M) has enlarged its top management. Effective September 1, 2008, Martin Rosatzin joined the management as CTO (Chief Technology Officer). The CTO position was created to deal with the complex requirements of the international markets and the demands associated with being the innovation leader in the industry. Martin Rosatzin is a physicist by training and has an executive MBA from the University of Zurich.

Reichle & De- Massari AG (R&M) is one of the world’s leading cabling experts. The company has been growing dynamically for five years with the aid of its 30 marketing organizations on all five continents. This newly created fifth seat on the Management Board has been occupied since the beginning of September 2008. Martin Rosatzin is a physicist and holds an executive MBA. He also has broad experience in industry and engineering. His previous career includes work as an independent technology consultant for Zühlke Engineering AG and most recently as Head of Research and Development at Elma Electronic AG, where he was also a member of top management.

At Reichle & De-Massari AG he will be the new man for innovation, development, product management and marketing. Initially, he will focus intensively on continuing ongoing projects and launching new projects in the areas of innovation and development. His main tasks will be to set up the structures necessary for these projects and to ensure smooth coordination between the individual departments. Martin Rosatzin succeeds Ernst Billeter, who successfully headed up Innovation and Development as an interim director for a period of seven months.

R&M has set ambitious goals for the medium and long term. To push and sustain dynamic growth, marketing efforts will be stepped up not only in Asia but in Europe as well. Kaspar Widmer will be in charge of this strategic project. He has displayed his talent and skills as Head of Global Key Account Management at R&M, a position he held for about three years. His successor, Carsten Quiram, also took over his new position at the start of September. Carsten Quiram most recently worked at the R&M competitor ADC Krone in Germany.
