R&M develops and manufactures passive cabling solutions for communication networks (Layer 1). Outstanding products in the copper and fiber optics sector have earned R&M a reputation as a leader in quality who always offers added value in terms of modularity as well as ease of installation and maintenance.

As the Swiss market leader, R&M operates its own subsidiaries and agencies in many countries. R&M realizes 75% of its turnover abroad – and the trend is upwards. Turnover in 2007 amounted to CHF 241 million (up 23% on the previous year). Each year R&M invests more than CHF 7 million in research and development. EBIT was 13% of turnover.

The company is fully owned by the Reichle family and employs more than 650 people. Together with Hans-Peter Legler (COO Sales), Martin Gasser (CFO) and Martin Rosatzin (CTO), Martin and Peter Reichle (as CEO and COO respectively) manage the dynamic company’s affairs in its second generation as an independent family business.
