R&M, the global Swiss developer and provider of cabling systems for high-quality network infrastructures based in Wetzikon, is making an optimistic leap into the era of digital transformation and expecting strong growth. Customers are increasingly looking for smart solutions when it comes to connectors, cables and network distributors. Solutions from R&M make it possible to digitally acquire, visualize and manage data networks and even monitor them from a distance. The company itself is driving the transformation forward – both in terms of the collaboration with customers and suppliers and in the communication between teams operating at an international level and the six production locations.
In the new customer magazine CONNECTIONS No. 52, R&M takes an in-depth look at digital transformation. In an interview and specialist article, expert Prof. Dr. Andrea Belliger, Prorector, University of Teacher Education Lucerne, describes the changes that are currently taking place in companies and management structures as well as customer relations as a result of digitalization. CEO Michel Riva reports on how R&M is coping with this digital transformation.
The specialist magazine CONNECTIONS No. 52 has just been published and can be downloaded from the website. R&M publishes the digital version of the magazine at www.connections.rdm.com.
R&M developed the AIM system R&MinteliPhy for the digitalized management of complex data networks. It comprises sensors for monitoring and analyzing connections in network cabinets, and software that bundles all information on cabling and on the network in real time. It facilitates the administration of local data networks in large office buildings and in remote locations as well as complex infrastructures in data centers. In CONNECTIONS No. 52, R&M reports on the advantages UBS in London is experiencing with R&MinteliPhy.
Digital information technology is also moving into Swiss road tunnels. The magazine showcases a project from the canton of Valais: 100 km of fiber optic cables, 90 km of communication cables and 1000 fiber modules from R&M are making their contribution to the networking and security of tunnel operation.
The specialist magazine for network experts also looks at current technology trends and presents other product innovations.
