R&M, the globally active developer and provider of cabling systems for high-quality network infrastructures exhibits its latest innovative fiber system for today's data center and cloud computing environments at Data Centre World Asia, from October 11-12 in Singapore.
With internal data center traffic expected to grow by 80% over the next three years, there is a real risk of networks becoming bandwidth bottlenecks. To be prepared for this traffic, data center professionals must take action today. Implementing optical fiber supports increased bandwidth and enables simplified network transformation.
R&Ms Netscale Blade Cabling Manager (BCM), designed specifically for modular, high-density port switches, enables reliable, flexible and highly efficient cable infrastructure throughout the data center. Switch cabling made neat. By moving from traditional low-density cabling to high-density structured cable solutions, data centers can implement physical network infrastructure in a far more manageable and flexible manner. The Netscale BCM routes cables directly from switch ports to patch panel ports beneath the switch, on top of the switch, or on its side.
R&M’s lime green OM5 solutions support duplex transmission up to future 200G, thereby removing all the cabling complexity that comes with with MPO polarity management. This allows data centers to run 40G and 100G Ethernet over LC patch cords. These are available with R&M’s innovative push-pull LC-QR patch cords which offer the smallest diameter cable, minimizing cabling bulk.
These systems enable data centers to easily migrate to 25, 40 and 100 Gb/s networks and solve some of the most critical network challenges and will be on display at R&M stand D60 and in the Live Green Data Center at Marina Bay Sands.
As the number of connected devices grows, the location of these devices is becoming increasingly important. R&M’s Automated Infrastructure Management (AIM) system R&MinteliPhy knows exactly what is connected, how it is connected and where it is located. The integrated hardware and software platform manages rack capacity as well as the entire physical network.
Following last year’s success with the ‘Feed the Beast’ patching game, visitors to this year’s event will have the opportunity to experience the outstanding features of the Netscale BCM in a playful way with a challenging VR game – ‘Feed the Beast 2’.
Journalists are invited to learn more about these innovations from R&M’s experts at stand D60 and at the Live Green Data Centre at Data Centre World Asia.
