BIM – Building Information Modeling

R&M BIM data allows planners to incorporate R&M products into digital building models and thus allow easier planning.

When planning building construction projects today planners, architects, and builders are increasingly using digital possibilities and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Using BIM, a building is designed electronically. Therefore, all data of a building is digitally designed and stored over its entire life cycle.

The goal of BIM is to enhance planning assurance and along with this a shorter building period. Over the entire process, this saves time, money and last but not least possible lawsuits because problems will be detected and solved during planning already. Forthcoming years of maintenance are simplified because the existing model provides information about used materials and its location. Finally, it helps to organize a smooth deconstruction (material separation for recycling) or a reconstruction alike.

R&M BIM models can be downloaded both directly using the BIM library or the product catalog. All BIM models are available as Revit files.
