SafeLine Type C

10 GB for medical network isolators

Medical network isolators

R&M network isolators according to IEC 60601-1 are used in the patient environment and protect the patient and caregiver from danger due to overvoltage.

According to the standard, the « patient environment » is defined as the surrounding at least 1.5m around the patient.

The surge protection in the standard can be achieved in different ways. In medical devices such as computer tomographs or MRI tubes, the interfaces to the data network are already appropriately isolated and provide the required surge protection. Other devices, which must be placed within the patient environment, which are connected to the data network, either do not have the integrated surge protection or are massively more expensive compared to standard devices (such as computers or printers).

The network isolators for medical use in accordance with IEC 60601-1 from R&M’s SafeLine product line manage surge protection between electrical devices in the patient environment and the data network.

The SafeLine products know how to convince with high reliability, maintenance-free and highest data rates in the market of medical network isolators.

With SafeLine Type C, R&M is launching the next generation of medical network isolators with a data transmission rate of 10GB/s, which is unmatched in the market.
