On patch panels or active components with high node density, working on connectors without compromising connectivity is difficult due to the limited space.
The R&M QR connector family offers maximum packing density combined with convenient manipulation. The mating process is operated via the boot and offers maximum ease of use, which also qualifies QR connectors for other applications.
The patented QR (Quick-Release) concept combines the most comfortable handling and the highest packing density on the panel.
The heart of the QR concept is the QR-Boot, which takes over the manual function (e.g. pushing down the lever on the LC connector) and executes it by simply pulling.
LCd connectors for high-density applications may have an unplugging issue when connected to LCd SFP transceivers.
LC-QR’s from R&M don’t know this problem.
Another advantage of this concept is that the shape of the QR connector does not require any additional space and thus supports the maximum possible packing density on patch panels.
For multiple connectors, the simple polarization change can help save time and cost when needed.
Many products on the market can do polarization changes, but we also think about torsion protection of the fiber.
The R&M QR multiple connectors (LC-QR uniboot, LC-QR duplex, LC-QR MPO) are designed with this possibility in mind and can be implemented without tools.
