Crédit Agricole Centre-est chose an unusual solution to renovate its regional headquarters. The bank refrained from relocation or demolition of the building and subsequent reconstruction. Instead, it carried out a comprehensive renovation of the building in Champagne-au-Mont-d’Or, which it moved into in 1987, demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and the preservation of architecturally valuable buildings. Between September 2020 and June 2023, the 67,000 m2 site was modernized in line with its historical character.
Crédit Agricole approached R&M via INEO RAA to set up the new local area network. The bank wanted a high-end solution in line with the extensive structural and technological renovation of its headquarters. Due to its sensitive business operations, it had special requirements that R&M was able to meet quickly.
A high-end solution for a permanently smooth operation of the local area network (LAN) was required for the technical redevelopment. The company does not tolerate any LAN or WLAN outages. The infrastructure with a commercial office network and wireless coverage was to guarantee incomparable service.
With regard to the investment opportunities, a cabling solution from R&M in the category Cat. 6A/Class EA was chosen. A backbone with fiber optic OS2 and OM4 cabling, as well as three distribution nodes, strengthens the infrastructure.
The first design study also targeted a solution compatible with an intelligent automated infrastructure management system (AIM). It had to be ensured that the network would support both current and future applications.
The cabling system from R&M offers the advantage that an automated infrastructure management system can be added later at any time. Racks and patch panels are prepared for the installation of the inteliPhy monitor components. The AIM software inteliPhy net can monitor the entire network.
With this project, R&M and its French partners once again demonstrated their smooth collaboration. Sales partner Exertis Azenn evaluated and delivered the network components and pre-terminated the copper links.
R&M-certified installation partner Sterlan and installation company INEO Rhône-Alpes Auvergne, a company in the Bouygues Group, ensured perfect cabling, which fully met the requirements of Crédit Agricole.
