The SYNO S-500 is a dome closure with gel sealing technology for reliable and easy installation with a capacity of up to 8 splice trays. The splice trays are designed to accommodate individual splice chips for ribbon fiber, single fiber and splitters – which can be combined in the same tray.
The SYNO S-500 has up to eight individual cable entry bays which can be equipped with the gel sealed cable entry kits for fiber optic cables with a diameter range from 0.08 inch to 1.10 inch, 2mm to 28mm or for micro ducts with a diameter range of 0.19 inch to 0.55 inch, 5mm to 14mm, in case blow-in technology is applied.

With the new SYNO S-500 splice closure and its accessory program the SYNO gel sealed dome closure has been complemented for future developments in global fiber network solutions.
The SYNO S-500 program makes use of the advantages of innovative and field proven gel sealing technology. With this new type of closure, R&M is applying its expertise in fiber management and combines ribbon and single fiber technology in one splice cassette.
The R&M optical system offers modularity and high density, plus a combined use of ribbon and single fiber applications. The splice holders for ribbon fibers and single fibers allow the use of different cable types in the same tray. You can choose between the STH-500-R with 144 ribbon splices and the STH-500-S with up to 24 splices. Also available is the ST-500-P for splitters. It is available for up to 8 splitters 1:16 or 4 splitters 1:32.
The SYNO S-500 closure can carry a stack of up to eight of such ST-500 splice trays, mounted to a splice tray holder, optimized for proper cable and safe fiber routing in ribbon or single technology. The splice trays are additionally fixed and secured.
